The DNA Father wall chart portrays the story of
your ancient ancestors, based on scientific analysis of DNA you
inherited from your father. It traces your genetic line back to
the beginnings of humanity in Africa and follows your ancestors'
progress over tens of thousands of years as the human race gradually
peopled our planet. A map showing the particular route your own
ancestors took during these epic migrations illustrates their story.
The wall chart also identifies the genes that distinguish your own
genetic line and shows how your ancestors' story fits into the vast
family tree that unites the human race.
Men carry one
X chromosome and one Y chromosome (while woman have two X chromosomes
and no Y chromosome). The Y chromosome makes men male and is passed
from Father to son. The Y chromosome will passed continually from
Father to son, father to son, generation after generation.
Scientists from
all over the world have looked at the Y chromosome profiles from
different races and tribes from all over the world, and we now know
that by the particular type of Y profile you have, can tell us specifically
about your male ancestors.

When a child is born, a sperm from the father and an egg from the
mother join together. The female egg contains special packets of
DNA (mitochondrial DNA). The child, if it is born female and one
day bears children, she will pass on the exact same mitochondrial
DNA onto her own children. And so, over thousands of generations
the mitochondrial DNA is passed down the female family line. Men
and woman both can be tested for their Mother’s genetic line.
Today we can look at the DNA sequence in the mitochondrial DNA
and then evaluate where your ancestors came from and how they got
there. Your type of mitochondrial DNA will label you into a certain
Group;
For example:
Group I originating 30,000 years ago is found in Mediterranean
regions (in both Arabian and European centers), Group Q
are descendants of the southern pacific regions (in particular New
Guinea and Melanesia), Group J is found prominently
in Russia and eastern Europe. It was born roughly 10,000 years ago,
in - or near - Mesopotamia, and migrated into Europe.
There are over 20 different groups, and many of those are further
divided to subgroups, allowing us to give more detail on your ancestral
history.
